The Northampton MUD recently purchased four portable defibrillators for our buildings and recreational facilities. These wall mounted units are marked with signs and located at the Inway Fitness center, Northcrest Pool, Northampton Community Center and the MUD Building. The defibrillators use voice instructions, and guide the user through each step of defibrillation and CPR. No training is necessary. Once in place, the unit determines if the patient needs a shock by assessing the victim’s heart rhythm. They are equipped with pads for infants, children and adults.
With the purchase of these AEDs, the MUD has taken extra measures to promote the safety and wellbeing of our residents!
